I bought this to keep my shiny new Intel i5-9600 CPU chilly and it certainly works well. It was reasonably easy to fit, but the instructions weren't amazing, think Ikea. Oh and the ‘X' shaped bracket is very fiddly to workout which way round it should go for your particular brand of CPU.

Once on it is HUGE, standing perhaps 6” or 7” off the motherboard. I made sure that my case aloud enough clearance for the lid before I bought it.

In use it is vitally silent in my case. In fact the only thing on my new PC that make any new is the DVD-RW Drive and that rarely gets any use.

This model is the cheapest and has no fancy black paint or LED lights. It works just as well and I saved between £10 to £20 by getting this model.

Looks good in the case, is providing good thermal performance from my Ryzen 7 2700 overclocked to 4.2GHz.
It's huge though, using in a Thermaltake Level 20 MT case, there is only 13mm clearance to the glass side panel.
I like the fan mounting system being clip on making it easier to fit, still a bit fiddly but easier than some other, more expensive, coolers. You get a spare fan bracket kit to add a push/pull system if you want, I did this adding a Coolermaster ML120 RGB fan.
Noise wise, it's quiet under low to moderate load, when it's loaded heavier it does become audible, but you expect that when the fan ramps up. But it's quieter than my old 120mm AIO.
I think the mounting bracket could be improved to feel less flimsy, but the screw post retainer clips are a good idea to hold the screws in place while you mount and secure the heatsink.

Great cooler, got it for £23 on Black Friday and it was an absolute steal.

It keeps my Ryzen 5 3600 at great temps under full load, installing it was a little tricky at first and I spent over an hour trying to screw it onto the motherboard, but that was my own fault for not putting enough pressure on the screws

Overall, it's a great performing (and looking) cooler that gets the job done nicely. If you manage to find on on sale, absolutely do not hesitate to buy one.

Previously had a Cooler rmaster on my last build so decided to stick with them for my upgraded PC build.
The good is that it all appears to be a sturdy beefy unit and keeps my i7 9700k temps in check. Runs nice and quiet.

The bad is its fiddly installation and its fairly inaccurate pictorial instruction leaflet. The diagram set up for a intel 1151 socket isnt quite right so you have to adjust the parts to get it to line up. Even then it was a little concerning that the spring loaded screws didnt quite line up right with the plate standoffs. I just went for it in the end and prayed that it wouldn't cause any damage to the top of the CPU!.

Once I managed to get the screws started all seemed to line up correctly. I checked and doubled checked the alignment and all appeared good.

Next challenge was getting the metal wire retainers to stay in place when fitting the fan to the heatsink! . This seems a retro downgrade to their previously easy plastic fan shroud clips and again proves difficult to get everything lined up and in place correctly.

Once all is on then as I say it works as you would expect. I just hope that i dont need to take it all off again for any maintainance in the long term as it is definetly more time consuming than it ought to be to get this thing on to the CPU!

Was stuck between this and Dark rock 4 slim, But would recommend this lower price for same performance i got this for £36! I couldn't find any information on the RAM clearances but fits with my Corsair vengeance RGB which i think the the highest profile RAM there is. (had to remove 3 dimms of RAM to get the right hand fan on but can slot back in once fan is on tight fit but it fits)

I replaced the fan with Corsair 120 ML Pro and added a further one to the left, Keeps a ryzen 3600 extremely cool with plenty of room for overclocking. Comes with AMD/Intel mounting.

Would recommend!

It has been a long time since I have built a pc, 7+ years. Instructions were ok, but there are many youtube channels for guides. The one thing that scared me when installing the metal standoffs/bolts to screw the cooler into, when screwing them in the motherboard they came very close to the copper lines on the Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite.

It looks great. RGB is ok; although set to white it does have a hint of blue (see pic).
Installed on a 3700x. Using Ryzen master to view temperature it is saying 37C, that's with a lot of Firefox windows open, Football Manager 2019 running, Steam, Discord, Uplay so cpu is using quite a bit of power. When viewing the cpu temp on Gigabyte's software it shows 45C.
