5.8 Inch super Retina display (OLED) with HDR IP68 dust and water resistant (maximum depth of 2 m up to 30 minutes) 12MP dual cameras with dual OIS and 7MP True Depth front camera—Portrait mode, Portrait Lighting, Depth Control, and Smart HDR Face ID for secure authentication and Apple Pay A12 Bionic with next-generation Neural Engine
Decided to switch to iPhone after a decade of android devices. I'm impressed, the phone is extremely smooth, the amoled screen is beautiful, the stainless steel makes it feel truly premium, all the apps on the store are brilliantly optimised and the camera is great. There is one issue, the battery life is atrocious. When using mobile data the battery just drops like a sack of potatoes. It makes it worse with apples shady practices such as not providing a fast charger in the box (plus lack of earphone adapter)
Other than that it's a solid phone.
Outstanding phone at a very good deal price
Easy to use
Not having a home button just works!
Opening a bank app and it sees your face and just opens is excellent stuff, I was hesitant to spend this much on a phone but I'm glad I did.
It just does everything right.
Outstanding tech and build quality
As soon as I got it, it was nothing but a problem from the start. Green flickering screen and randomly shut off. Went online to get help, with preferred idea to get either a refund or replacement. Spent approximately 3 hours with a technician trying to resolve the problem (interesting how they send a faulty item and then expect you to fix it), came to the conclusion it wasn't fixable.
Not allowed a Replacement for some reason.
Refund takes 3 weeks.
The ONLY reason I've added 2 stars is because the assistant Abegail was patient, polite and dealt with my concerns professionally.
Apple actively tout this phone as a product you can submerge in clean water up to 1m . I decided to test this out by putting the phone in a mug of tap water - IT DIED IMMEDIATELY ! Iphone have told me the phone is not waterproof and should never be immersed in water. They have hidden behind a small print clause that states if you get the phone wet , you do so at your own risk . They guys at apple helpline were rude, dismissive and seemed to be reading off a script . It did seem they have dedicated people to fob you off with the same stock answers. I asked them about the new iphone 11 which advertises itself as a phone that can be submerged to 4m - Apple Helpline have said it would not cover an iphone 11 that ever gets wet. Apple you have let me down , a loyal customer , with your attitude, you should never sell under false pretences. AVOID THIS CON
I was super excited while purchasing this phone close to my birthday. It's a forced “gift” from my better half. LoL!!!
After using the phone for close to 2 months, the excitement went down by a large extent. Don't get me wrong this is still a damn good phone. But I am not sure if this is starkly diffident from iPhone 8. Battery life is better than my 4 year old iPhone 6. Apps open slightly faster but nothing extraordinary. Overall a sequentially better phone but there is no wow factor. And I miss the home button.
Wide screen (note that this is relative to an iPhone SE)
Good graphics resolution
Had to get a replacement phone sent out because the first one's battery was beyond terrible and wouldn't charge past 27%!
The phone arrived uncharged which suggests it's very old stock.
Perhaps not much of a con but the wider screen is a little too wide for my hand
Not a bad phone overall but definitely overpriced for what it's worth.
