Nuisance call blocking (Block specified number/range of numbers/no number) 1.6 inch amber easy to read illuminated LCD Display 50 name and number phone book (caller ID compatible) Hands-free Speakerphone on handset One touch eco mode
Bought a set of these phones for myself previously and they are brilliant! Ordered another set for my daughter who is also very pleased! Would highly recommend!
Overall great product.
Simply plug and play.
Has useful features such as recent calls and answer phone.
Second handset is literally a plug in type without a bt line. Which is very helpful to leave on a second or third floor of your house.
Overall its cheap and does the job.
The sound is decent not the best of quality. But good enough to hear all the cold callers and have a decent meaningful chat with them about cheaper electricity tariffs.
I should have read the reviews - this phone was bought on behalf of my parents who are not deaf but find the volume too low both held against an ear or on speaker. I notice that alot of people have commented on this not just for this model but for lots of the other cordless phones available. What's the point in a phone if you can't hear the caller? There are so few cordless phones on offer now as most people don't use them and those that do are often the older generation who would appreciate a phone with a decent speaker in it even if they don't need a hearing aid. If they can put a decent speaker in a brick mobile (which my father has and can hear me fine on) they can put one in a cordless landline phone.
I've had this phone for some time and it's great for making and receiving landline calls. The sound quality and handset range are good, and more than enough for my needs.
I've marked it down star wise though because despite being a generally nerdy person who writes software and enjoys things technical and could even program my VCR in the 80s, I find the interface on this to be pretty much incomprehensible. It probably has many features I've not used because of this. I managed to put one name in the telephone directory on it and felt like I'd cracked the Voynich Manuscript. The instructions are in that international style which is mutually incomprehensible to all the people of the world.
I haven't marked this down a lot as I'm sure many people will be fine with it and think I'm just dim.
Extremely pleased with my choice as bought these to replace my two BT Studio Plus phones.
Both handsets look identical. Bases also look identical with the only difference being the main one has a phone line socket at the back. Both have a rear power socket which simply plugs in.
Very easy to install and set up even without needing to read the 36 page manual. Loved the fact both handsets share a single address book which meant I only needed to put my phone numbers into one of them.
The handsets not only look sleek, they seem to be well made too. Best of all, they do not have that horrible plasticky feel which a lot of handsets have. They are almost twice the weight of my old BT Studio Plus phones, but that shouldn't be an issue for anyone.
When not in use the handsets display the time in big digits with the date and charge status below. All the usual features you'd find on other handsets like speed dial, speakerphone are all here.
Box does come with 4 rechargeable batteries (AAA) so there is no need to buy any.
Had one small issue when I connected the main base to my old phone extension cable. Even though it worked well with my old phone the new handsets displayed ‘Check Phone Line'. Solved this by using the cable which came with this phone even though it was much shorter.
WHY I CHOSE THIS PHONE OVER OTHERS.
• Ability to block numbers, including all withheld.
• Bargain price
• Good household brand
• Shareable phone book
• Nice looking phone
• 2x Power adapters with uk plugs
• 2x Handsets
• 2x Base charging units
• 1x Telephone cable
• 4x AAA rechargeable batteries
Length of cables:
Power: 178cm (70inch/ 5.5ft)
Phone: 152cm (60inch/ 5ft)
For the price i don't feel I can complain too much! They aren't terrible but aren't great either. Sound is a bit tinny and echoes. Unlike other phones I've had to read the manual to do the most basic of things ie adding phone numbers. I wanted to give 3 stars but because they are cheap I gave 4. I expected more from this brand!
