Used as a helmet camera for motorcycling. Bad design means water can get in and under the battery and into the camera, then the camera fails - won't switch on, won't charge...
If you can keep it in the dry then it's a cool wee camera, although I can't speak to the quality of any of the video as the MP4 files are unreadable....
Returned it. Simply not fit for use - the IPX4 Water Resistance it claims is a bad joke - it can't cope with rain.

Used as an action camera during motorcycling. Produced nice clear video, simple to use. Seemed quite sturdy and doesn't feel cheap or flimsy on first inspection. Made an excellent GoPro substitute for 7 months. Battery life was only modest, but not a huge dealbreaker.

The camera has since stopped working after a moderate downpour, with water visible inside the screen and lens, and inside the sd card/battery compartments. Manufacturer won't cover for water damage, so am left with a £130 brick. Not water resistant and certainly not weather resistant. Take caution if you're buying this for any sort of outdoor activity, claiming it is weather resistant is simply a fib. Won't be buying a replacement from Ghost unfortunately.

I bought this device and recieved it today for commuting insurance purposes. I installed it on my helmet and set up using the built in screen which is pretty small and hard to see. After looking at the footage the picture quality is average at best during the day and poor at night its pretty difficult to see number plates until they are about 5 meters away so it will suffice for my use.

Have to give it a one star review as the MicroSD card slot failed after three months of use. In that time the MicroSD card was put in at the beginning and worked as expected. Taken out recently to copy files; when replacing into the camera the internals of the card slot had failed and the card disappeared into the camera. Amazon have agreed the return of the camera for a refund. I'm not sure I'll be buying the same camera again.

Bought this in Jan 2019 as a replacement to my old helmet cam. Recently went to Norway on the bike and went through two days of heavy rain..the cam gave up, but I was able to dry it out with a hairdryer and get it started again. It did not last and now back in the UK it's a dead duck. My fault as I should have bought the waterproof case. The screen on the rear is very small and its easier to read via the mobile app. On the upside the pictures it took were excellent.

After a pretty awful cycle accident in April, I wanted to get a camera to record my travels as an added safety feature for when I returned to the saddle. After doing a lot of research I settled on the Ghost X, as it seems to do all the basics well. 1080p is plenty for what I need, viewing angle is great but the audio is poor (mostly wind as I ride which is to be expected). The accompanying app is pretty decent and really useful for changing settings.

I've been using it for about a month now and I've been really pleased with how easy it is to use day to day, recording my commutes and grabbing the footage when needed by connecting the camera to my laptop.

A few issues have been I find the buttons often stick which is frustrating as when it happens it shuts the camera off completely, so you have to faff around with it. A number of times when in USB mode connected to my laptop it's completely frozen when disconnected. The light stays on despite me removing the battery entirely and I've recently discovered I have to do a hard reset to get it to turn off again.

I've not used it at night or in the rain yet, so can't comment on its performance in those conditions.

Overall I'm happy with it, as it does what I need, but I'm concerned about the issues I've experienced will get worse and take a toll on the camera.
