I've bought two cameras and this is a complete waste of money. The setup was easy and the quality of the videos is good, motion detection is not an infra-red (like is on Blink) but that's it....
What's wrong:
1) Manufacturer claims that the videos retain on the cloud for 2 days . In reality, you'll find that videos randomly get deleted by themselves. I.e for example today I check today's/yesterday's clips and find that a few just marked as "No longer available".
2) Notifications are absolutely random. Manufacturer claims that the fact that I don't get notifications is because notifications will be sent through only if the phone is connected to the internet (i.e you won't catch up on missed notifications if you were temporarily in the zone without the coverage). In reality : I am on WIFI with my Android (v.9) next to the router and if I login to the app I'll see that a few events has just happened without me gettnig any notifications, i.e this has nothing to do with the internet coverage. Overall I get probably 1 random notifaction per every 100 happened. Tried with an iPhone - didn't get any notifications at all

I have two cameras and both have these issues. I wrote to support, but that is absolutely useless. All you get is (probably automatic) reply on how to "setup notifications" and then the next on how to "reset the camera" without anyone actually looking into your email at all. Moreover their support is an absolute mess. I received twice(!) a reply from the support that had in the email subject one topic, but the body of the email had text quoted from another support ticket raised with them.

I have two Blink cameras on the same network and don't have any notification issues coming through to my phone .
And, of course, no any videos get randomly deleted from the cloud too.

If you want a reliable camera - look elsewhere ...

PS: The tp-link support replies from "USA support" email address but in CC they always put 3 surnames and they are all Chinese. This makes you wonder if the camera developers are actually residing in China (outsource?) .... I personally have as many data privacy concerns over US technologies as I do over chineese, but if someone here is thinking of opting for KASA just because it's not a chinese camera, probably the above is something for you to consider

I bought this product as a replacement from a cheap camera and I'm so glad I did. This camera feels very high quality, it has a good weight to it whilst still being compact and discreet. The 360 degree works perfectly however, there is a slight lag between events and the picture from the app (approx. 4 seconds) but this is to be expected with any camera. Both the picture and sound quality are very good and the app is very easy to use. A massive benefit to owning Kasa products is you can control different smart products all on the same app. Would definitely recommend.

Very easy to set up and use. Good clear picture in 750P HD and 1080P HD and there is even as 360 option which still gives a reasonable picture. There are options that allow you to set schedules for when the camera is on and off and also what mode operates (zone, tracking, stationary). Wide angle and the ability to rotate through 360 degrees and also move the camera up and down from anywhere you have a 4g/wi-fi connection is very useful. Recording goes directly to the cloud (no physical storage on this particular device) although it's easy enough to download recordings from the cloud. It also has the ability to hear sound and speak through the device from your mobile phone. Purchased this to mainly keep an eye on my elderly dog when leaving him on his own occasionally.

The camera is not very good as a security device because even if it has captured footage of an intruder and had time to upload it to cloud storage, if the intruder then breaks or steals the camera the recordings are not retrievable. This is because recordings are only available via the app and if the camera is offline the app won't let you view them.

Buy an Arlo Q instead, it is a lot more expensive, but once they are uploaded to the cloud storage its recordings are available even if the camera is broken/stolen.

Both hardware and software are better than I expected. The camera has a very wide angle of view and produces good images in daylight, switching to infra-red in total darkness which also produces good images. Very easy to set up, it requires no separate hub, powered by a very long USB cable which gives you a good chance of reaching a mains socket (it requires permanent mains supply). The software is also slick and works well on my Android phone. One minor gripe: the microphone is extremely sensitive and will start recording at the slightest sound (assuming you have sound triggering switched on). There are three levels of sensitivity in software, but even the lowest sensitivity triggers recordings for minor sounds such as creaking floorboards. However, overall this is excellent value.
