My last tv died (50") and I expected to go up to 55", but saw a really good deal for this on Amazon (£580) so went larger still. I'm gobsmacked at how good this is for the price. It took a while to get used to just how good the UHD picture was - almost more real than real life!
The sound is so so, but I think everyone accepts that to get the best sound from a flat screen external speakers are required. I connected a soundbar with no issues and am very pleased with the result.

I was not aware how much better TVs can get, but viewing is so much better than my previous 42inch which was only about 6 years old

When are smart TV's going to give you a qwerty keyboard as standard and also allow you to login securely using an identity provider like Google? Setting up all your services is a nightmare if like me you have Amazon prime, you tube, Netflix, BBC... the list is endless. They have got to find a very easy of logging in using phone apps. It is insane that you have to log in using up and down arrows for ALL your accounts!!!!! The technology exists to use an identity provider so why don't they use it?????

TV picture quality was OK. Having had a great Panasonic plasma for years I'm used to real black. LED's still struggle with black and it's more of a very dark grey.

I had to return the TV due to a fault but that's just life. Samsung after usually reliable.

Having eventually been refunded by the seller I may have to reconsider which model I buy. Under £600 for a 65 inch screen is a bargain but I do want better contrast. Possibly back lighting might help if you're willing to rig up the LED's behind the screen but I've never tried this so can't vouch for the effect.
