Excellent value for money. This is good for short wave listening and it has an excellent sound quality as a normal FM/AM radio. It is very light and compact which makes it an excellent travel companion.

I bought this short wave radio because I like RTE radio Ireland, but I have tried to get the station and I can't, iv tried all 10 wave bands on short wave and all the scale of Medium wave and still can't get it. All I wanted was a cheap little world receiver, and that's all it is. It looks like I will have to buy another, to be able to receive RTE. I used to have one simaler to this but it got dropped accidentally, that used to play RTE radio Ireland. In fact I will buy a new one, but not a Tecsun.

What a cracking little travel radio with bands to cover most broadcasts.
For the price I was pleasantly surprised. Recommended.

I bought it for the purpose of using it as short wave radio but it is rubbish, doesn't give anything only static cracking sound.

Decent build quality but trying out this radio in my flat got little reception. Tescun it appears gets good reviews on Youtube, including this particular model and i'm no newbee to shortwave radio as it was a hobby of mine 30 years back. I'm disappointed in the quality of reception and picking up stations, including the use of a Tescun portable wire antenna is minimal. I'm sure the older Grundig Yaught Boy or some of the Roberts range of analogue radios would pick up more stations, compared to these Chinese sets.
